A radar-transparent camouflage net hides an asset from the eye, night vision and thermal imagers while letting radar and radio signals pass through it — so a radar, communication tower or command post can keep working while it is under cover. It is also called an EM-transparent net. It is the opposite job to a radar-scattering or radar-absorbing net, which is built to weaken the radar return of what is underneath. They do opposite jobs. A radar-transparent net lets radar and radio waves through so your own radars and antennas work under cover. A radar-scattering or radar-absorbing net weakens the radar return of the asset underneath so it is harder to find on enemy radar. Choose by whether the covered asset has to transmit or receive while it is concealed.
Whenever the concealed asset has to keep working through the net: radars, communication towers and masts, radio relay and command posts. An ordinary camouflage net, or a radar-scattering one, can block or weaken the very signals that equipment depends on.
